Session Overview: For those audiologists new to seeing children or young adults with either tinnitus or hyperacusis this session will cover the basics of how to assess them effectively and safely. Using the BSA guidance document as a basis, we will cover red flags, suitable environments and possible tools for assessment. A child friendly explanation of tinnitus/hyperacusis will be discussed as a starting point for all management strategies, and then this is followed up with how to make further strategies fun and accessible to families. This is a practical hour full of tips and techniques to take straight back into clinic.
